				The Epi Info 2000 Manual				


The 302 page manual is supplied in both Microsoft Word (.DOC) and Adobe Reader (.PDF) formats.
Printed copies can be produced with the .PDF file, and translation can be based on the .DOC file.  

There are four small files called RED.GIF, GREEN.GIF, ORANGE.GIF, and YELLOW.GIF.  Although 
seemingly unnecessary, they are required to produce the proper effect of graphics in the STATISTICS
chapter of the manual.  If they are not present in the same directory with the .DOC file, the colored
squares in the data output files are not rendered correctly in Microsoft Word.  Since they are small files,
we have included them rather than trying to overcome the underlying problem.

The entire manual is also reproduced in HTML format, and is accessible from MANUAL on the main
menu.  Links to external web sites, contained in the GIS resources chapter are best run from this version.
