CDPKG.TXT Contents of CDPkg August 3, 2000 The CDPkg directory contains files for producing a compact disk label and an envelope with a cover image and introductory text about the nature of Epi Info 2000 and how to install the programs. The NTP file is for the MediaFACE software that comes in the CDROM label kit sold for the Fellowes/NEATO brand of labels. If you have this kit, install the MediaFace software and use the EPI2000.NTP file to print the labels with any inkjet or laser printer. Even inexpensive color printers give good results if you choose settings that favor quality (resolution) over speed. If you do not have the MediaFACE software, it can be downloaded without charge from www.neato.com and other sites. The NTP file is for Version 1.xx of MediaFACE, but can be imported into MediaFACEII with the IMPORT command on the FILE menu. Other packages can be used to produce a CDROM label using the EPICD3.JPG image that is provided. The image does not contain all the text for the label, but this can be inserted with other CDROM label packages. The current label contains the words: "Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)" "epiinfo@cdc.gov" "Version 1.0.x" and the date of the version. The email address is the one for the Epi Info user support helpline at CDC. The envelope file is supplied as both a Microsoft Word (.DOC) file and an Adobe Reader (.PDF) file. A printed copy can be produced from either one. Of course, more elaborate formating and additional graphics would improve the three pages of text for the fold-over envelope.
